Acquisitions/Alliances

VGM Management, Waterloo, Iowa, a division of The VGM Group, has acquired The Forbin Project, a Cedar Falls, Iowa-based Internet consulting and service provider. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lifeplus Inc., Raymond, N.H., has acquired Lowell Respiratory Services, a hospital-based home oxygen and respiratory therapy company in Lowell, Mass. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Horizon Pharmacies, Denison, Texas, has added two pharmacies carrying home medical equipment with the acquisition of Jones Low Priced Drugs, an independent retail pharmacy which has locations in Spokane and Deer Park, Wash. Its annual sales were about $7.2 million in 1998. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the purchase price included a cash payment and debt assumption, officials said.
