Bachenheimer Leaves AAHomecare
Alexandria, Va.
Cara Bachenheimer resigned as vice president of member services at the American Association for Homecare to accept a position in government relations at the health care law firm of Epstein, Becker and Green in Washington.
A longtime industry advocate, Bachenheimer previously served as vice president of membership services at the Health Industry Distributors Association. During 10 years at HIDA Home Care, a division now merged into AAHomecare, Bachenheimer was responsible for lobbying, legislative and regulatory departments, including the development of the Home Care Coalition's legislative strategies and issues.
"I have truly enjoyed working at AAHomecare and at HIDA Home Care over the last 10-plus years and do not plan on `leaving' the industry," Bachenheimer said. "Rather, I will still be involved, building upon the experiences I have had in the association business."
"We're very happy for Cara," noted Thomas Connaughton, AAHomecare president and CEO, "but we will not be able to replace her easily. In fact, Cara's experience is impossible to replace."
