Invacare Corp., Elyria, Ohio, has received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for its Polaris CPAP system. The system features one-button operation, low-noise level and a built-in tubing holder for mask storage.

Invacare is also expanding its North Ridgeville, Ohio, manufacturing site and administration offices by reducing its distribution operations there. The plan frees up 50,000 square feet and affects 35 employees, all of whom are being offered new positions with the company, officials said. A new Midwest distribution center has also been opened in Columbus, Ohio.
