Infu-Tech Inc., Carlstadt, N.J., reported a net loss of $1.1 million, or 35 cents a share, for the fourth quarter, ended June 30, compared with a net loss of $275,000, or 8 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 1999, the home infusion and specialty pharmaceuticals company reported revenues of $25.5 million, down 3 percent from the $26.5 million reported in fiscal 1998. Net loss for fiscal 1999 was $1.1 million, or 35 cents a share, compared with income of $196,000 or 6 cents a share, the year before.
Staff Builders, Lake Success, N.Y., posted revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2000, ended Aug. 31, of $103.5 million, down from the $111.7 million posted the same quarter last year. Net loss for the quarter was $2.6 million, or 11 cents a share, compared to net income of $135,000, or 1 cent a share, for the same quarter last year. The company also completed its spinoff of Tender Loving Care Health Care Services, a wholly owned subsidiary, by distributing all of its outstanding common stock to Staff Builders stockholders. They received one share of the subsidiary's common stock for every two shares of Staff Builders Class A and Class B common stock outstanding.
National Home Health, Scarsdale, N.Y., reported net income of $448,000, or 9 cents a share, for the fourth quarter ended July 31, compared to net income of $390,000, or 7 cents a share, for the same period in 1998. For the fiscal year ended July 31, 1999, the company reported net income of $1.14 million, or 22 cents a share, compared to net income of $1.2 million, or 23 cents a share, the previous year.
Matria Healthcare, Atlanta, reported net earnings of $6.8 million, or 17 cents a share, for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with a net loss of $84.2 million, or $2.31 a share, for the same period in 1998. Officials said the results reflect the effects of Matria's consolidation of its Women's Health Division, the sale of two infertility clinics and a tax benefit from a deferred tax asset.
