Lincare Holdings, Clearwater, Fla., has reported revenue of $487.4 million for the year ended December 31, 1998, up 10 percent from $443.2 million the prior year. Year-end net income was $85.3 million, or $1.44 a share, compared with $80.1 million, or $1.37 a share, in 1997.
Revenue was $130.3 million for Lincare's fourth quarter ended December 31, 1998, up 10 percent from $118.7 million for the same period the previous year. Net income for the quarter was $23.7 million, or 40 cents a share, compared with $14.7 million, or 25 cents a share, for the same period in 1997. Results for 1997's fourth quarter include a non-recurring, pre-tax charge of $15.6 million, or 16 cents a share after taxes.
Interwest Home Medical, Salt Lake City, has reported revenue of $7.7 million for its first quarter ended December 31, 1998, up from $6.2 million for the first quarter the previous year. Net income was $406,000, or 10 cents a share, compared with $337,000, or 8 cents a share, for the same period the previous year.
