Hash Steps Down as HCFA's Acting Administrator
Baltimore
Michael Hash, acting administrator for the Health Care Financing Administration since Oct. 1, left his position at the agency on Dec. 15.
"In the short term, I expect to recharge my batteries, enjoy the holidays and focus on the next stage of my career," Hash said in a farewell to HCFA staff. Hash had replaced former administrator Nancy-Ann DeParle, who left in September to take a position at Harvard University.
Robert Berenson, M.D., current director of HCFA's Center for Health Plans and Providers, will replace Hash as acting administrator until a new administrator is named by the president.
The Stimulite sport cushion by Supracor shown on page 130 of HomeCare's October issue should have been described as moisture-resistant and shock-absorbent.
The product by Apex Foot Health Industries shown on page 171 of the October issue is the Bio 2600, not the Bio Boot.
