Salt Lake City Interwest Home Medical beefed up its Arizona holdings by purchasing Aays Health Care Equipment, which has locations in Peoria, Cottonwood and Flagstaff. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We believe the additional markets will enhance our ability to expand our managed care relationships in Arizona," said James E. Robinson, president and chief executive officer. Aays, which has annual revenue of $1.6 million, specializes in home respiratory services. Its Peoria business will be combined with Interwest's branch in Phoenix, officials said.
