Mentor Acquires DesChutes Medical

Santa Barbara, Calif. -- Mentor has acquired the assets related to the pessary product line of Bend, Ore.-based DesChutes Medical Products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"This acquisition will enable us to manufacture our own pessary product line," Mentor president Christopher Conway said. "We will be able to provide more choices and better service to our customers."

Pessaries are soft silicone intravaginal devices used for the nonsurgical treatment of pelvic floor prolapse and urinary incontinence in women.
