Merriam-Graves Acquires N.Y. Branch of Lifeplus

Raymond, N.H. -- Lifeplus has sold certain assets of its Plattsburgh, N.Y., home medical equipment business to Charlestown, N.H.-based Merriam-Graves for an undisclosed amount.

The medical division of Merriam-Graves provides home respiratory services and medical products to customers in the New England and northern New York area.

Lifeplus sold the Plattsburgh branch because it was not located in an area the company served. "We recently acquired the Plattsburgh office from Amcare Medical Services as part of a larger purchase," said president April Mason. "Lifeplus has not previously had operations in New York, and we made the decision to focus our efforts in other markets."

Scott Wakeman, president and chief executive officer of Merriam-Graves, said the acquisition aligns well with his company's established service area. "The greater Plattsburgh, New York, area is an important market for Merriam-Graves," he said. "We are excited about the opportunity to service a broader customer base in the region."
