Nebraska Seeks Licensing of Providers That Dispense Oxygen
Omaha, Neb. Home medical equipment providers that dispense oxygen in Nebraska will be required to get pharmacy licenses if a proposed bill is passed.
But the earliest the bill, Amendment 2525-Delegating Dispensing Agreement, will make it through the Legislature likely is the next session, said officials with the Midwest Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers.
"We thought we would hear more on it by now, but with the close of this legislative session, I doubt it," said Ed Erickson, MAMES president. The bill is supported by the Nebraska Pharmacy Association and the state Board of Pharmacy.
