Olsten Renews Cigna Contract, Gets New Name
Melville, N.Y. In what is being touted as the nation's largest managed home health care contract, Olsten Health Services has renewed for the fifth year its nationwide agreement to provide Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna Healthcare with a full range of home health services.
While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the agreement calls for Olsten to provide about 4.5 million health maintenance organization and Flex-Care members with home health care, home infusion therapy, home medical equipment and respiratory services. The contract also includes Cigna's Healthsource business.
In other news, Olsten Health Services has changed its name to Gentiva Health Services and named its executive management team. Senior management includes Edward Blechschmidt, chairman, president and chief executive officer; John Collura, executive vice president and chief financial officer; Richard Christmas, senior vice president and chief information officer; Chris Anderson, chief compliance officer; and Deborah Brash, vice president, clinical management.
