RIGHT ON THE HEELS of HomeCare Magazine's June 1999 report on accreditation in the home medical equipment industry come the results of a survey by Van G. Miller & Associates on accreditation and Oryx. The Waterloo, Iowa-based buying group polled 1,358 members on their reaction to Oryx, a mandate by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations requiring JCAHO-accredited HME providers to provide proof of outcomes. More than half of the VGM members polled responded. Here's what they had to say:
