Fort Collins, Colo. -- Rand-Scot has purchased the assets of Saratoga Access and Fitness, also in Fort Collins. Saratoga marketed arm- and leg-operated exercise machines used in hospitals, rehab centers and homes. The Saratoga product line has been incorporated into Rand-Scot's line of patient lifts and pressure-relief products.

"Al Degraff, Saratoga's founder, has done a good job of introducing the accessible aerobic fitness message," said Rand-Scot president Joel Lerich. "We hope to refine it, perhaps adding both electrical work input and dissipation as well as torque measurement to the machines."
