Alexandria, Va. The Respiratory Homecare Providers Association, Decatur, Ala., has agreed in principle to merge with the National Association for Medical Equipment Services, officials from both associations said.

With the merger, Alexandria, Va.-based NAMES will bolster its membership by about 75, and, in turn, RHPA will have a stronger voice in Washington. The alignment is a positive step toward giving the industry a unified voice, officials said.
