REGIONS INFLUENCE PAY FOR HME PROFESSIONALS

SO, HOW MUCH DO YOU MAKE as an accounts receivable manager for a home medical equipment company? No, you don't have to tell us. But you may want to study the following pages of our annual salary survey and see how your pay stacks up against that of your peers.

You'll find a few surprises. According to the 274 HME companies that participated in HomeCare magazine's sixth annual survey, where you live could well dictate how much you make. Salaries tend to be higher — sometimes by a considerable amount — in the Northeast and the West.

And nearly everyone's salaries grew compared to last year's — some by as much as 25 percent. Chief executive officers, controllers and vice presidents of finance, nurses and outside sales/marketing managers were the only ones who took home smaller paychecks.

So what state is your salary in? Check out our survey results and see.

Note: Ranges figures indicate the lowest and highest responses received. The 25th Percentile figure is higher than 25 percent of the responses, and the 75th Percentile figure is higher than 75 percent of the responses. The Median is the exact middle of the responses. Half are less and half are more. The Average is the sum of all figures divided by the number of figures gathered. Finally, some figures have been rounded off, so totals may not add up to 100 or could exceed 100.
