VGM Launches Heartland Conference, Expands Show's Educational Focus
Waterloo, Iowa -- The VGM Group is expecting 500 providers, therapists, case managers and other health care professionals to attend its new "Heartland Conference: A Harvest of Healthcare Education" Sept. 5-8 at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo, Iowa.
The event, which has its roots in the former Heartland Seating and Mobility Conference held for seven years in Topeka, Kan., and to which VGM acquired the rights, will offer continuing education units in four educational tracks: HME/respiratory, rehab seating and mobility, case management, and orthotics and prosthetics.
In addition to the education program, the conference will feature exhibits from about 80 VGM Group manufacturers, according to officials. A wheelchair basketball demonstration will be featured at the opening of the exhibit hall on Sept. 6, officials said. Social events will include a party on Sept. 6 and a pig roast on Sept. 8.
Registration is $150 before June 15, $199 thereafter. For more information about the conference, contact the VGM Group at (800) 642-6065.
