Option Care Announces 2004 Earnings
BUFFLAO GROVE, Ill.--At the end of last month, home infusion giant Option Care announced that its revenue for 2004 had increased 17 percent--to $414 million--from previous-year results. Net income increased from $8.7 million in 2003 to $18.9 million in 2004--a 117 percent jump.
"Our home infusion and specialty pharmacy services continue to generate solid organic growth," said CEO Raj Rai. "Going forward in 2005, we will aggressively pursue growth opportunities including acquisitions, new drug distribution relationships and new managed-care contracts for specialty pharmacy services."
During a late February conference call, Rai told investors he expects strong company growth to continue in the coming years--within "a range of 15 to 20 percent," he said.
In other company news, Option Care has recently signed on with the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) to accredit its company-owned branches; franchises will be able to use the accrediting body on a voluntary basis.
Option Care provides home infusion and specialty pharmacy services through a network of 130 company-owned and franchise locations in 32 states.
