AHP Ekes Out Another Month

American HomePatient, Brentwood, Tenn., said it has entered yet
a sixth forbearance agreement with its creditors. The fifth such agreement ended
Dec. 16. Under terms of the giant provider's promissory note to
NexBank, SSB, the agent for its senior debt, AHP was due to repay
approximately $226 million on Aug. 1. With the latest agreement,
debt-holders have agreed not to exercise any of their rights for
the company's failure to repay the debt before Jan. 16, 2010.
According to an AHP release, talks on a resolution of the issue
continue.
