Invacare Inks Distribution Deal with AeioMed
Aug 7, 2006 12:40 PM
ELYRIA, Ohio--In a move to expand its presence in the sleep market, Invacare announced last week that it has signed a multiyear agreement as the exclusive distributor for AeioMed's current and future line of sleep-related medical devices. Under the agreement, Invacare will begin distributing Minneapolis-based AeioMed's compact CPAP system and patient interface under private label in September.
"Invacare is rapidly adding to its sleep product line and is on its way to becoming the third major player in the sleep industry," said Ann MacGregor, Invacare sleep division vice president and category manager. "We're doing this by building our sleep infrastructure through people with a strong history in the industry."
Steve Bordewick, founder and CEO of AeioMed, said the agreement gives AeioMed access to Invacare's roster of over 100 direct sales reps, and it gives Invacare access to AeioMed's integrated CPAP system and experienced management team.
