Lincare Reports Rise in Q2 Earnings
CLEARWATER, Fla.--Lincare Holdings reported a 3.6 percent increase in second-quarter earnings.
The provider earned $51.9 million in the quarter, up from $50.1 million during the same period last year. Second-quarter revenue increased 11 percent from last year to $350.13 million.
During the second quarter, the company acquired of five businesses with annual revenues of about $14 million and added 18 new operating centers.
"We are experiencing strong customer growth and expanding market share in our core respiratory business and we continue to make inroads in the sleep therapy market," said Lincare CEO John P. Byrnes. "We continue to expand by opening denovo locations in new and contiguous geographic markets and to be selective regarding acquisitions of quality respiratory providers."
