On Thursday at 2 pm ET, the American Association for Homecare
has scheduled a free, national call to review a 15-point reform
proposal for Medicare’s oxygen benefit. According to a notice
from the association, “Home oxygen therapy remains under the
threat of additional, unwarranted cuts by Congress. The reform
proposal is part of an effort to gain recognition of the important
services that are integral to providing oxygen therapy to Medicare
beneficiaries. The reform proposal would eliminate oxygen from
competitive bidding and
would remove the 36-month cap on oxygen.”
Thursday’s call will include a short description of the
reform proposal followed by a question-and-answer session. To
