BALTIMORE — CMS said it needs help identifying beneficiaries who may have difficulty accessing Medicare home health services.

"We would like to hear about your experiences serving hard to reach populations, as well as the challenges certain beneficiaries may experience in accessing Medicare home health services," according to an agency notice.

CMS will hold a Special Open Door Forum to hear first-hand reports on the subject March 31 (Thursday) from 1 to 2:30 p.m. EDT to "better define and understand the low-income, underserved, and/or high-severity beneficiaries for whom the home health prospective payment system may not accurately account and serve."

The Open Door will be a streaming audio webcast; register to hear the call over the Internet at www.CMS.gov/apps/events/event.asp?id=634.
