The award recognizes an individual whose leadership is demonstrated through vision, servanthood, mentoring others & a commitment to older adults

ELY—LeadingAge announced that Adam Masloski, executive director at Boundary Waters Care Center (BWCC), has been presented with LeadingAge Minnesota’s Outstanding Leadership award. Each year, the award recognizes an individual whose leadership is demonstrated through vision, servanthood, mentoring others and a commitment to older adults. BWCC is managed by Health Dimensions Group (HDG), a senior living, post-acute and long-term care consulting and management firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Thank you so much to LeadingAge Minnesota for this honor, I greatly appreciate it,” Masloski said. “My team at Boundary Waters Care Center and I are devoted to providing residents and families with an enriched senior living experience. I could not do what I do without their skills and support, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to help our residents confidently live their best lives.”

For more than 17 years, Adam has proudly been the face of aging services at Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely, having served in multiple roles through the years.

"What truly distinguishes him from other health care leaders is his daily commitment to engaging with our team, comforting families, and reassuring residents," a released statement from LeadingAge said. "Adam dedicates himself wholeheartedly to every member of the BWCC community, embodying the essence of compassionate leadership."

LeadingAge said Masloski's genuine care and attentive listening to everyone at BWCC—residents, family members and team members alike—is what sets him apart as a leader.

“Adam’s leadership is a huge part of what makes Boundary Waters Care Center thrive,” president of Health Dimensions Group, Amber Rogotzke said. “He and his team help provide their residents with the ability to confidently live their best lives every day, and we can’t thank him enough for his commitment to them. Adam is deserving of this award, and we are immensely proud of him.”

Under Masloski's leadership, BWCC received a 100% resident and family satisfaction score, and he led fundraising efforts for his nonprofit care center to ensure it has the resources to support local seniors and their families for years to come. Also, his commitment to quality helped increase their Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 5-Star Quality Rating from 1 to 4 in just two years.
