DULUTH, Minnesota (September 13, 2022)--Essentia Health and Corner Home Medical have reached an agreement in which the latter will purchase elements of Essentia’s durable medical equipment (DME) services.
Minnesota-based Corner Home Medical is continuing services to patients currently under equipment rental agreements with Essentia and will manage any DME orders moving forward. Letters have been sent to impacted patients informing them of this change and containing information for next steps.
“As we pursued this agreement, it became clear that Essentia and Corner Home Medical share similar values and a commitment to quality that will continue to benefit our patients,” Matt Posinski, Essentia’s senior vice president for system clinical and support services, said in a news releases posted July 27. “Essentia is always looking for opportunities to provide the best possible care, and that includes finding improved options for services our patients need.”
