ATLANTA, (March 15, 2016)—GF Health Products, Inc. (“Graham-Field”) is the proud recipient of The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s annual GLOBE Award for international sales achievement. The honor was bestowed upon Graham-Field at Georgia’s Annual Go Global Reception, held on March 8, 2016 in Atlanta. Graham-Field’s Vice President of its Medical-Surgical SBU, Sandra Parker, proudly accepted the award, which was presented by Georgia’s Governor Nathan Deal before 400 attendees.

“It is gratifying to know how well Graham-Field’s USA-manufactured medical equipment is respected throughout the world, as that will continue to fuel our international sales growth,” Parker remarks.

“Promoting Georgia in strategic international markets is essential to keep Georgia competitive, and we’re here to help Georgia companies access those markets ... In Georgia, we know companies that sell overseas create twice as many jobs as those only selling in the U.S. market. They grow an average of 18 percent faster, and their workforce is typically 10 to 15 percent more productive. International sales volume also helps lower overall production costs and leads to increased profitability,” says GDEcD (Georgia Department of Economic Development) Commissioner Chris Carr.

“Leveraging international trade opportunities is integral to economic development in Georgia. Companies in nearly every county in Georgia have utilized GDEcD’s international trade services to expand their business on a global scale,” says GDEcD Deputy Commissioner of International Trade Mary Waters. “Receiving a GLOBE Award not only provides a chance for a company to be recognized for their hard work, but it also highlights the opportunities we offer at the state level to help companies thrive in competitive markets.”
