TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 7, 2017)—The Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is proud to announce the 2017 winners of its 6th Annual Excellence in Home Care Awards. Today’s thriving homecare industry was built by the leadership, dedication and hard work of these and other Association members.
“This year’s class of winners should inspire all of us within the homecare industry,” said Denise Bellville, president of the HCAF Board of Directors. “It is important to recognize excellence in the home care industry, because such recognition and honor inspires the great to continue to be great, motivates the good to become great, and helps those that may be challenged to fully understand what is required.”
The 2017 winners are:
- Outstanding Professional Caregiver: Patrice Horn, RN, MorseLife Home Care, West Palm Beach
- Outstanding Paraprofessional Caregiver: Patricia Pollard, CNA, FirstLantic Nursing Services, Delray Beach
- Terri Santangelo Outstanding Leader Award*: Ann Moore, RN, Kindred At Home, Trenton
The winners were honored at a ceremony during the 28th Annual Conference & Trade Show on Tuesday, July 25 in Orlando.
*The Terri Santangelo Outstanding Leader Award carries the name of one of Florida’s great home care leaders who also served as HCAF’s President,Terri Santangelo, who passed away in 2013 but will never be forgotten. The recipient of the award will exemplify all the qualities that Terri Santangelo consistently displayed as a true leader in the home care industry and will honor a home care clinical or office supervisor who has made outstanding contributions in motivating staff to achieve excellence in homecare service.
