Henry Schein’s home solutions business expands with the addition of homecare medical products supplier Acentus

MELVILLE, New York—Henry Schein Inc., a health care solutions provider for office-based dental and medical practitioners, announced it has completed the acquisition of Acentus, a national medical supplier specializing in the delivery of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs). Henry Schein previously announced the agreement to acquire Acentus on Nov. 20, 2024.

“Henry Schein continues to expand upon our national homecare solutions platform to effectively address the evolving needs of our customers, which includes clinics, physician practices, health systems and patients receiving care at home,” said Stanley Bergman, chairman of the board and CEO at Henry Schein. “The acquisition of Acentus represents an important step towards strengthening our position within the home medical supply market. By directly delivering CGM products to patients’ homes, we are enhancing our ability to serve our valued customers and drive growth.”

The Acentus transaction follows Henry Schein’s acquisition of Prism Medical Products LLC in 2021, as well as the Shield Healthcare and Mini Pharmacy acquisitions in 2023. The company said the latest acquisition aims to reinforce its commitment to the homecare medical supplies market. Additionally, the company’s homecare medical products platform seeks to have an annual revenue base in excess of $350 million.

Acentus’ founders—Brett Carroll, Todd Cianfrocca, Greg Duvall and Julio Valdivia—plan to join Henry Schein by bringing their expertise and experience in the product category and health care industry.
