Expanding HomeWell’s National Footprint
In 2024, HomeWell awarded 42 new territories, signing 36 franchise owners and opening 30 locations. By year-end, HomeWell reached 96 operating agencies. Notably, HomeWell opened its first agencies in Alabama, Nevada and Wisconsin—key markets for the brand’s national footprint.
"This level of growth is a testament to the strength of our brand, the dedication of our franchise owners and HomeWell’s growing recognition as a trusted name in homecare," said Crystal Franz, CEO of HomeWell Franchising. "As we enter new territories and welcome more passionate entrepreneurs into our system, we remain committed to ensuring they have the knowledge, resources and support to build thriving businesses. HomeWell is not just growing—we are helping redefine what exceptional homecare looks like on a national scale by furthering the value our agencies offer in the care continuum.”
HomeWell’s business model has attracted aspiring entrepreneurs, newcomers to the industry and even already accomplished business owners with or without prior experience in senior care, offering them the stability and support of an established brand. Since introducing a secondary path to ownership in 2022—an alternative buying option that reduces upfront costs—more qualified entrepreneurs have found the company to be the ideal opportunity to combine business ownership flexibility with the structure and resources of a franchise system.
“2024 set a new benchmark for HomeWell, showcasing the effectiveness of our franchise model as we meet the increasing demand for homecare," said Mike Condon, HomeWell’s vice president of franchise development. "We're welcoming new owners each month—entrepreneurs who aren’t just looking for a business opportunity, but a meaningful way to make a difference in their communities. And we’re equipping these individuals with the tools, training and support they need to build something lasting and truly leave their mark.”
“The beauty of franchising lies in the ability to build something of your own with the support of a proven system. HomeWell exemplifies this by giving our owners the freedom to grow while backing them throughout their entire lifecycle of ownership.”
Industry Recognition & Accolades
In 2024, HomeWell earned 17 national brand awards, more than double the awards received in 2023. Among these accolades, three recognitions highlighted the company’s innovation and industry leadership:
Brandon Hall Group Silver Award for Excellence in Learning Experience Platform (LXP) Implementation: This award honored Learning Lab, HomeWell’s advanced training platform developed in partnership with TraCorp. Recognized for its engaging and structured learning approach, Learning Lab equips franchise owners and their staff with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care while advancing professional development with role-based learning.
Silver Stevie Award from the American Business Awards: Homewellcares.com, the company’s redesigned consumer website, was praised for its intuitive user experience, robust educational resources and ability to connect families with quality care. The website has a human-centered design, developed with an understanding of the decision-making process for families seeking homecare.
Endorsed National Provider by Activated Insights—Best of Home Care Awards: In 2024, HomeWell Care Services was recognized as a Best of Home Care Endorsed National Provider, reflecting its commitment to delivering exceptional in-home care services. Additionally, 21 HomeWell agencies earned individual distinctions from Activated Insights, marking a 75% increase from 2023, including 20 that received Provider of Choice, 10 that were named Employer of Choice and three that achieved Leader in Experience—an honor reserved for the top 10% of homecare providers nationwide.
HomeWell Franchising said following its growth and industry recognition, it enters 2025, ready to expand even further. Backed by a network of committed franchisees and a focus on innovation, the company said it remains steadfast in its mission to become the nation’s leading non-medical homecare provider.
“The milestones we achieved in 2024 are a direct reflection of our commitment to growth, excellence, and—above all—delivering exceptional care to families across the country," said Franz. “As we look ahead, we remain focused on building upon this success by equipping our franchise system with the tools needed to thrive and adapt to an evolving industry. With the ongoing guidance of our Franchise Advisory Council and our supportive network of owners, HomeWell’s future has never been brighter. 2025 will be a year of greater impact as we continue redefining personalized in-home care and create more opportunities for entrepreneurs ready to step into business ownership with the support of a proven system.”
