BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (March 8, 2022)—IntellaTriage, a provider of after-hours nurse-first triage services, announced the addition of Bernadette Smith as vice president of marketing. The first to hold this role at the company, Smith will be responsible for marketing strategies and coordination of marketing operations. She will provide captaincy and direction to the overall marketing function, helping expand education and thought leadership for hospice and home health providers across the U.S.
Smith brings 10 years of experience in the post-acute care industry. Before joining IntellaTriage, Smith launched and grew the marketing team at QIRT (now McBee Associates) and was most recently managing director of the LTC100 Intelligence Group at Lincoln Healthcare Leadership.
“What a privilege to be part of a team that is making such a difference in the hospice and home health space,” said Smith. “IntellaTriage is providing direct relief to challenged staffing systems and alleviating nurse burnout—the No. 1 reason nurses leave health care organizations. I cannot wait to spread the news about IntellaTriage and bring the organization to the highest level of visibility in the post-acute space. The sky is the limit.”
Founded in 2008 to address a significant unmet need in hospice and home health providers, IntellaTriage leverages the largest team of registered nurses to provide compassionate, round-the-clock care 365 days a year. IntellaTriage uses a tailored approach for each client, offering providers and caregivers a direct line to trained nurses who operate above and beyond the traditional nonclinical answering service. For instance, IntellaTriage nurses can handle up to 80% of hospice caller needs, such as medication refills, symptom management guidance and more. IntellaTriage has seen more than 250% growth over the last five years in response to industry demand for its tech-enabled services.
“Hospice and home health providers’ need for after-hours triage is growing rapidly, and IntellaTriage is meeting those needs and matching that growth,” said IntellaTriage CEO Daniel Reese. “With Bernadette on board, we will position IntellaTriage as the thought leader in this space so organizations understand how we can help them through their challenges by providing compassionate support to patients and their families, freeing up nurses’ valuable time so they can continue to provide quality patient care. We are thrilled to have her here.”
