ELYRIA, OHIO (March, 16, 2016)—A first in the medical device industry, Invacare teamed with Cleveland-based digital marketing agency Think Media to create a virtual reality world that allows viewers to immerse into environments with Invacare products to experience the Invacare difference.
"We want everyone—providers, therapists, and most importantly, consumers, to experience what it's like to be in an Invacare product," said Maegen Hurtado, Digital Marketing Manager at Invacare. "We want people to be inspired and know that they truly can do anything they put their mind to."
Viewers can sit in the driver's seat for a 360-degree view of Team Invacare Athlete and Paralympian Paul Schulte as he cranks on his Invacare Top End Force RX Handcycle with fellow riders in Clearwater Beach, Florida. With the ability to look up, down, turn side-to-side and even look behind, viewers receive an interactive experience leaving them wanting more.
Other Invacare VR videos feature Charlie Mosbrook, a para-triathlete. While in the ROVI X3 Power Wheelchair with Motion Concepts Power Positioning he explores the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, and he gets up close to a t-rex in the new Invacare TDX SP2 Power Wheelchair in the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
The technology debuted at the International Seating Symposium in Vancouver, Canada earlier this month with much success.
