IRVINE, Calif. (September 15, 2020)—Jet Health, Inc., a provider of home health and hospice services, announced the acquisition of Carrington Hospice Care, Inc., an Arlington, Texas-based hospice company. The acquisition marks Jet Health’s second in the hospice arena, and furthers its strategy to offer hospice care in the current home health markets it serves.

Carrington Hospice Care, founded in 2018 by Elsie Johnson and Dorothy Ojirika, services the greater Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace.

“The Dallas/Fort Worth health care landscape is rapidly shifting toward providers that provide multiple home-based care service lines. Joining Jet Health allows the company to address this move and helps expand the depth of their offerings, said Johnson and Ojirika in a joint statement. “Jet Health has established a solid reputation for quality patient care and service throughout Texas, and aligning with the company will advance our market leadership position.”

Stacie Bratcher, Jet Health chief executive officer said, “The completion of this transaction in the Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace demonstrates Jet Health’s ability to execute on our strategy of becoming a multiple service line provider of home-based care across the four key home health markets we currently serve. By providing our home health patients a choice to remain in our care as they transition to hospice, we will improve the continuity of care and overall patient satisfaction of those we serve. This acquisition affords Jet Health the opportunity to better service both our patients and referral sources in the Texas marketplace and to continue to grow Jet Health’s hospice offering throughout our geographic footprint.”

Funding for the transaction was provided by SV Health Investors and Health Enterprise Partners. Stradling Yocca Carlson and Rauth acted as legal counsel to Jet Health. American Healthcare Capital served as acquisition advisors to Carrington Hospice Care, Inc.
