New appointments will strengthen strategic vision, expanding services & community impact

BLUFFTON, South Carolina—MiraSol Health, a nonprofit provider of compassionate end-of-life care, palliative and grief care services in South Carolina's Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton and Hampton counties, announced the addition of four new professionals to its leadership team. These appointments come on the heels of the organization’s recent rebrand and the expansion of both its services and geographic reach to include Colleton and Hampton counties, reinforcing its mission to bring compassionate care to more communities across the Lowcountry.

Amanda Heiple joins MiraSol Health as senior director of finance with more than 25 years of experience in financial strategy, business analysis, financial reporting and staff development. MiraSol Health said her career has been defined by strong leadership, exceptional teamwork, work ethic and uncompromising integrity. In her new role, Heiple will oversee financial operations to ensure sustainable growth and resource optimization that support Mirasol Health’s expansion goals. 

Jamie Mitchell, MiraSol Health’s new director of human resources, brings over 25 years of experience in finance, primarily in retail banking where she managed multiple banking centers. A strong advocate for giving back, Mitchell is passionate about making a positive impact and graduated from Hilton Head-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership program last year. Mitchell will oversee employee relations and recruitment, ensuring MiraSol Health attracts and retains top talent. 

Kayla Wimberly joins MiraSol Health as a registered nurse market leader. Most recently serving as home health case manager at CenterWell in Walterboro, South Carolina, she has a diverse background in care plan development, patient education and interdisciplinary team leadership. Her communication, empathy and dedication to improving patient outcomes make her a perfect fit for the MiraSol Health team, the company said.


Lynn King has assumed the role of senior director of business development for MiraSol Health. Leveraging more than 40 years of experience, her work will be instrumental in building strategic partnerships and enhancing access to compassionate, high-quality care. King has served on numerous boards, including Hospice Care of the Lowcountry. 

These four leaders will play a pivotal role in MiraSol Health’s ongoing growth and expansion of its programs to meet the growing demand for services across the region. In 2024, MiraSol Health served more than 200 patients daily—an increase from 45 in 2022. MiraSol Health said these milestones reflect its commitment to honoring life by providing compassionate care and guidance for those in our community experiencing serious illness, end-of-life, and grief.
