PHOENIX, Ariz. & BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (July 8, 2019)—Vantage Mobility International (VMI), a manufacturer of accessible vehicles, and Numotion, a provider of complex rehab technology (CRT), will collaborate to increase awareness of mobility solutions. This national partnership brings together the experience and expertise of both companies to help individuals with disabilities and their caregivers understand the full range of mobility products designed for their unique medical needs and help them achieve greater independence.
“We want to increase awareness of the availability and options of wheelchair accessible vehicles for people in the disability community and their caregivers, to help them achieve freedom and independence,” said Mark Shaughnessy, CEO of VMI. “This partnership with Numotion is designed to offer information, raise consumer awareness and create a total solution for our mutual customers from a single, convenient location. We believe that our customers will greatly benefit from this and ensure that their mobility solutions fit together for the best possible experience with their vehicle and adaptive equipment. Our partnership with Numotion allows us to increase both consumer and industry awareness about WAV products.” The Numotion partnership combined with VMI’s dealer network of 300+ locations will increase awareness, convenience and support to wheelchair users across the country.
VMI and its companies build conversions on Toyota, Honda, Ford Transit and Fiat Chrysler automobile chassis, and can be customized to include options such as power lifts, hand controls, flexible seating and ample room for power wheelchairs of varying sizes from Numotion. In addition to offering CRT products and accessories, innovative lifestyle enhancement products, service and repair, medical supplies and educational events, Numotion associates will now work alongside its VMI partners to better understand the value of accessible vehicles and inform customers about choices in mobility transportation.
“Numotion has been providing individually configured and personalized solutions for families in the disability community for many years, and this partnership gives us additional products and services to ensure that all of their mobility needs are met,” said Mike Swinford, CEO of Numotion. “This partnership makes perfect sense because Numotion and VMI share a mission to help people with mobility challenges achieve greater independence and have access to everyday living, including an active lifestyle.”
The companies recently concluded a successful pilot program at a select number of locations, and the program will roll out over the coming months on a national scale to all Numotion locations across the country. Numotion assists its customers every year with technical and clinical expertise at more than 140 locations from coast to coast. Part of the larger scale rollout will include collaborating on other strategic marketing initiatives designed to deliver integrated solutions across an ecosystem of mobility related needs of their common customer base.
