CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 27, 2018)—The Prometheus Group, a provider of home medical equipment (HME) revenue cycle management services, announced its rebranding to Prochant. Along with the new name, the company now has a new logo, refreshed graphics, a new website and updated messaging. Prochant made its debut at Medtrade Spring in Las Vegas.

The new name, Prochant, consists of two parts: “pro” and “chant”. It represents the two core elements—“Pro” referring to the professional and proactive nature of the company's team. It also represents continuity from the retired Prometheus name. “Chant” represents the persistent and relentless nature of the company's activities representing a rhythmic, single-focused effort toward achieving the goal.

"The new branding more accurately explains how we do what we do," said Joey Graham, general manager and vice president of operations for Prochant.

Prochant partners with HME providers to focus on the repetitive and labor-heavy parts of dispensing home medical equipment and supplies. The company describes itself as a trusted partnership, rather than a transactional relationship, and specialists attend to essential daily tasks such as initiating prior authorizations and verifying insurance coverage, as well as posting cash, and helping to collect unpaid balances. The company offers full-service billing, end-to-end visibility on billing operations, performance reporting, and staff augmentation for offloading parts of billing operations.

Over the past decade, HME providers have experienced painful times due to pricing pressures and billing process complexities. Prochant seeks to alleviate some of the pain by using a unique combination of "superior processes" and highly-skilled industry specialists. The goal is to enable providers to deliver outstanding patient care while achieving greater profitability. Prochant calls its innovative winning formula proactive revenue cycle management.
