The franchisor prioritize the hiring of active seniors to help their less active counterparts

WALNUT CREEK, California—Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care services, a franchisor with over 115 franchise partners with more than 300 territories nationwide, has grown in recent years. Now, local residents Dave and Gina Schneider have opened a new location to serve Diablo Valley residents.

Seniors Helping Seniors said the brand stands apart in the in-home care industry by prioritizing the hiring of active seniors to help their less active counterparts. For Dave and Gina, the launch of their Seniors Helping Seniors franchise is a natural extension of their personal and professional lives. Having both cared for loved ones in their later years, the couple saw firsthand the importance of compassionate, consistent caregiving. Now, they’re bringing that same dedication to the Diablo Valley community, offering a service that allows seniors to age in place while maintaining meaningful connections.

“A few years ago, my mom needed caregiving services," said Dave. "One morning, I was visiting, and the doorbell rang. My mom said, ‘I wonder who they sent today.’ She didn’t know the caregivers, and there was no time to build a bond with anyone. She wasn’t happy but didn’t want to complain. When I discovered Seniors Helping Seniors, I remembered that moment and realized how important this concept was to me.”

The demand for in-home care for mature populations continues to grow, with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reporting that nearly 70% of retirees will require some form of long-term care. Seniors Helping Seniors services is expanding in California with its unique care services and approach to caregiver-client matching. This new location in Diablo Valley will mark the fourth in the state of California and will focus on serving the communities within the Rossmoor, South Walnut Creek, Clayton, Alamo, Danville and San Ramon communities.

“We’ve become a leader in this industry by prioritizing the best possible care for our seniors, and that means partnering with only the most passionate and hard-working franchisees,” said Seniors Helping Seniors President Namrata Yocom-Jan. “That’s exactly what we’ve found with the Schneiders as new franchisee partners, who are well-equipped to provide unparalleled in-home services to those in need throughout California .”
