WATERLOO, Iowa (October 16, 2018)—VGM Group, Inc. announced the official release of its latest playbook, Industry Insights: Billing and Reimbursement Preparation in 2019.
This is the third edition in a series that the membership service organization has created for stakeholders in the DMEPOS industry to download and use to adjust to an ever-changing business climate.
“With the competitive bidding thumb temporarily lifted at the beginning of 2019, we want to help prepare VGM members for these changes,” said Clint Geffert, president of VGM & Associates, a division of VGM Group, via press release. “This playbook will provide in-depth information on how to prepare for a new landscape in January as well as give options on how to continue to serve patients while remaining profitable.”
VGM’s playbook features articles that provide guidance on policy requirements as it relates to making business decisions. Content was created by VGM’s thought leaders and covers a number of areas including analyzing the proposed rule, new opportunities in competitive bid areas, upgrading to higher-level items beneficiaries are willing to pay for, oxygen and CPAP policy requirements and expanding into negative pressure wound therapy.
“As we prepare for some significant changes coming our way, this third installment continues our commitment to providing our community with tools, resources and expert analysis on ways providers can succeed in 2019 and beyond,” Geffert said.
