ATLANTA — GF Health Products announced Friday that Ken
Spett has been promoted to president and COO.

With more than 30 years in the health care industry, Spett began
his career with Graham-Field in 1983 as vice president of
operations for Labtron Scientific Corp., then became corporate vice
president of marketing when Labtron and Graham-Field merged. He
later served as vice president of the company's Medical/Surgical
division and as senior vice president. Most recently as executive
vice president, Spett was responsible for the medical/surgical,
home care, long term care, consumer and international strategic
business units as well as global operations and marketing.

In her role as CEO, Beatrice Scherer will continue to oversee
administration and strategic planning, while Spett will focus on
operation and sales. According to a release, "Together Scherer and
Spett will move forward to build on Graham-Field's winning
framework: the manufacture and distribution of well-known,
name-brand health care products that symbolize quality and
value."

The company's brands include Lumex, Everest & Jennings,
Grafco, Labtron, John Bunn and Lumiscope.
