The Joslin Diabetes Center, an affiliate of Harvard University, and American Well last week announced intentions to collaborate to bring telehealth services to patients nationwide, powered by American Well's Online Care technology. Joslin intends to introduce this initiative with the goal of improving clinical and financial outcomes. "Telehealth provides an opportunity to bring together our strengths in research, clinical care, education and awareness in order to create an entirely new class of clinical program – then project care directly to the patients who need it most, at the appropriate time,” John L. Brooks III, president and chief executive officer of Joslin Diabetes Center, said in a prepared release.
