Robert W. Graebe has been appointed president and CEO at The Roho Group, Belleville, Ill. Son of founder Robert H. Graebe, Robert W. Graebe has been involved with the company since 1981, serving in various positions as manager of molded products, plastic specialist and corporate treasurer. Most recently, he was vice chairman of Roho's Board of Directors.
The majority of sleep apnea patients are not replacing their masks as often as recommended under CMS guidelines, according to a recent study. The blind survey, conducted in May by TalkAboutSleep.com, found that 30 percent of respondents had replaced their masks in the past nine months. About 54 percent had not replaced their masks in the past 10 months and 48 percent had never replaced their masks at all. About 30 percent of respondents said they use more than one mask. “Many HME providers recognize the benefits of providing a high level of patient education and service, which drives trailing revenues through mask replacement and multiple usage. We hope this survey serves as another reason for providers to grow their businesses by delivering regular follow-up care,” said Michael Farrell, vice president of marketing for San Diego-based ResMed.
