Access Point Medical said it is adding respiratory products to the company's DME and mobility offerings. During Medtrade in Atlanta, the company introduced APM-branded oxygen concentrators, portable nebulizers and oxygen regulators as well as a line of liquid and high-pressure oxygen products and accessories.
Irwin Selinger resigned as president and CEO of Graham-Field Health Products after a federal court denied his appeal. Selinger was convicted of conspiracy and securities fraud in 2004 and sentenced to prison last year. Beatrice Scherer, who has been part of the Graham-Field management team for more than 40 years, will assume the position of CEO and president. She most recently served as senior vice president of administration.
The Federal Aviation Administration has approved three new portable concentrators for use on commercial airliners: AirSep's FreeStyle, Respironics' EverGo and SeQual's Eclipse. The ruling brings the number of oxygen concentrators allowed onboard to five. AirSep's Lifestyle and Inogen's Inogen One were approved last year.
