It was touch and go for HME providers not only in Houston but throughout the Southeast after a post-Hurricane Ike gas shortage hit Atlanta; Charlotte and Asheville, N.C.; and Nashville, Tenn. Prices for gas in the areas skyrocketed — if you could find it.
The Accredited Medical Equipment Providers of America held a pre-election reception honoring Florida Reps. (and brothers) Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart, shown speaking with providers. Both congressmen were successful in their re-election bids.
At Medtrade, the American Association for Homecare sponsored its third annual "Stand Up for Homecare" fundraiser to support a PR campaign promoting the value of home care.
