ST. PAUL, Minn. (Sept. 24, 2013)—3M has expanded its family of respirators to include the 3M VFlexTM 1805/1805S and AuraTM 1870+ Healthcare Particulate Respirator and Surgical Masks.

“The VFlex 1805 and Aura 1870+ provide the potential for the proven protection of a respirator with the fluid resistance of a surgical mask,” said James Cooper, product marketer, 3M Personal Safety Division. “Plus, they’re competitively priced, making them accessible for hospitals, day-surgery centers, nursing homes, clinics and other health care facilities.”

The VFlex 1805 boasts an innovative, pleated design that helps increase surface area for ease of breathing, offering wearers enhanced comfort and reliability. Available in two sizes and constructed to fit a broad range of face shapes, the VFlex 1805/1805S features an adjustable nose clip to provide a custom and secure seal and an elastic headband with no rubber latex components.

The Aura 1870+ features a flat-fold design that provides the highest level of fluid resistance and is packaged individually to help ensure protection from contamination. The embossed top panel is designed to accommodate eyewear and helps reduce fogging, while a convenient chin tab allows for easy positioning, donning and adjusting. Both the VFlex1805/1805S respirators and the Aura 1870+ are NIOSH N95 approved, FDA Cleared and fluid-resistant.
