Johnston will be responsible for operations & growth of the hospice & PCS businesses

DALLAS—AccentCare, a provider of post-acute health care,  announced the appointment of Andy Johnston as president of Hospice & Personal Care Services (PCS).

“Andy is a highly respected leader who has proven operational experience in large, multi-site health care organizations,” said Laura Tortorella, chief executive officer of AccentCare. “He will play a critical role in advancing and further strengthening our hospice and PCS operations, so that we can continue to deliver exceptional quality and care to the patients and families we serve.”

Before joining AccentCare, Johnston spent more than 20 years with United Surgical Partners International, where his roles included chief operating officer-east, chief development officer and most recently chief administrative officer. Johnston also served as chief operating officer at U.S. Renal Care, the nation’s third-largest dialysis company. In this newly created role at AccentCare, he will report directly to Tortorella and will join the executive leadership team. He will be responsible for operations and growth of the hospice and PCS businesses.

Johnston received his master of healthcare administration degree from Duke University and his bachelor of science degree from Brown University.
