Hoover, AL

Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.

Andrea Stark will present all morning, and the topics at the top of our current list include audits and the face-to-face rules. Andrea has 12 years of experience in the Medicare field, including five years working for the Region C DMERC, Palmetto GBA. With this experience, she brings a unique understanding of the inner complexities of Medicare reimbursement to her clients. We will explore other possible topics, and she will, of course, be happy to answer questions on any Medicare-related subject.

CGS, Medicaid and all its contractors, and Blue Cross will also deliver updates. Please send your questions and suggestions for any of them to admea@hiwaay.net, so we can make the best possible use of their time by allowing them to prepare in advance.
And for those of you with collections problems...

Plan on staying to the end, when we will present information on the Alabama Uniform Commercial Code, as well as the best solution for collecting your delinquent accounts. Virtually all of the changes made recently or announced for every part of the health care delivery system include an effort to force patients to pay a higher percentage of the total cost for their health care out of pocket. This change will require a major shift in the attitude of most providers’ staff, as well as a significant difference in our collection process. Our presentation will help you get started, and help us decide on the proper future programs on this subject.
