The new game, Taboo Charades, is the company’s fourth redesigned Hasbro game aiming to enhance the lives of older adults

PAWTUCKET, Rhode Island—Ageless Innovation, a home health care company that reimagines and redesigns the power of play, has released an age-inclusive version of the game “Taboo,” under license from toy and game company, Hasbro. The Ageless Innovation game, “Taboo Charades,” is one of four Hasbro games the company has redesigned that aim to enhance the lives of older adults and their families through gameplay. Taboo Charades joins a roster of other reimagined classics, including “Trivial Pursuit Generations,” “Game of Life Generations” and “Scrabble Bingo.” Alongside the full Ageless Innovation portfolio, Taboo Charades is available on Amazon and is set to be available at most major retailers in early 2025.

Since early 2023, Ageless Innovation and Hasbro have partnered to create new editions of classic games, which have been designed with older adults in mind. Each game in their portfolio aims to infuse age-inclusive features, such as easy-to-grasp pieces, easy-to-read content and/or intergenerational storylines. The reimagined version of Taboo includes improv and special charade cards into the classic game, which seeks to encourage more physical activity and movement among the aging population. Complete with oversized cards with easier-to-read text and recognizable words from the 1960s and 1970s, the iconic Taboo electronic buzzer and a log to keep track of the memories shared during gameplay, Taboo Charades intends to provide an easier way for older adults to play, laugh and join in on the fun.

The partnership seeks to combine Ageless Innovation’s knowledge in creating play experiences for older adults and Hasbro’s experience within the branded entertainment industry, in an effort to deliver joy, fun and companionship to families. Hasbro games aim to expand upon Ageless Innovation’s collection of “Joy for All” products, which includes a line of animatronic pets and card-based games that intend to facilitate intergenerational connection, stimulate conversation and improve the quality of life of older adults.
