DALLAS—Axxess, the Council of State Associations and the Forum of States recently released the 2025 Care at Home Industry Trends Report, which was compiled from a joint survey of providers. The report found that providers overwhelmingly ranked advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) as the top emerging trend they expect to help transform health care by 2030.
Additionally, providers highly ranked aspects of AI such as automation, enhanced communication and predictive analytics as ways that technology has helped their current operations. While many providers saw the potential of AI for their business operations, they ranked it as the lowest immediate investment priority for 2025. The report includes a look at the factors that made providers reluctant to use AI systems, as well as the top technology investments they plan to make in 2025, such as staff training and engagement tools.
"Care at home providers are starting to recognize that the hype around artificial intelligence is real," said Tammy Ross, executive VP of professional services at Axxess. "This report shows that the continuing challenges that the industry faces, like workforce management and compliance, have solutions rooted in AI applications that exist today and those on the horizon. These technologies will give providers the clinical decision support they are looking for."
The full report features deeper insights into the year's top care at home industry trends, as well as keys to success in each of the areas in the report: technology trends, workforce trends, regulatory trends and future trends.
