OAKDALE, Penn. (June 16, 2016)—An Aquatec OceanDual shower chair was recently selected for use by Dr. Stephen Hawking.
Earlier this year, Clarke Health Care was contacted by Vanity Fair about specifications of the OceanDual shower chair. They sponsored Dr. Hawking’s visit, and were making preparations for his stay. The OceanDual, with tilt-in-space and recline positioning, met his personal hygiene needs and matched what he used at home. The chair was transported to various hotels during his U.S. visit. National Seating & Mobility from Garden City, New York, arranged the purchase and delivery. Dr. Hawking was in New York City to promote a new project, "Breakthrough Starshot," a 20-year endeavor to send Nano space craft to our neighboring star system, Alpha Centauri.
