Via AAHomecare, WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 21, 2018)—Omnibus spending legislation has still not been released as Wednesday in Washington goes to press. Congressional and media sources currently predict text will be finalized and available this evening, but the timing for release has been a moving target all day.

We have not received any details on the status of HR 4229 provisions or other potential HME-related language in the bill and will update you as soon as possible after legislative language is officially released. Our Capitol Hill contacts have indicated that numerous policy riders and extenders have been dropped in the course of negotiations; we hold out hope that HR 4229 provisions are not among those that have been excluded.

Whatever the outcome on this round, AAHomecare sincerely appreciates the tireless efforts of our members and other HME stakeholders who have built tremendous support for HR 4229 and have advocated passionately to have it included in this round of omnibus legislation. We look forward to continuing to fight alongside these leaders to secure meaningful relief and a sustainable Medicare reimbursement environment for the HME community.
