NEW YORK—HHAeXchange, a homecare management solutions company, and state Medicaid programs, have announced this year’s “Caregiving Champions” award winners, in celebration of National Homecare and Hospice Month. Each year, the award seeks to recognize 10 caregivers across the United States who are nominated by their respective homecare agencies for their service, commitment and integrity.
The company said it received more than 270 nominations this year. The award nominations contained descriptions of homecare workers who excelled for their clients.
The following caregivers were selected as Caregiving Champions:
- Jennifer Miller, nominated by Always There Home Care of Susquehanna Valley, Pennsylvania.
- Pharibee Hollenbach, nominated by Independent Home Health.
- Elaina Patterson, nominated by Alston Home Care Solutions.
- Sennovia Smith-Myers, nominated by Attending Home Care.
- Evrydiki Karypidou, nominated by Americare Inc.
- Trish Tompkins, nominated by Girling Personal Care, A Gentiva Company.
- Elisa Apolinario, nominated by Angels Care LLC.
- Sandra Devonshire, nominated by American Family Matters LLC.
- Quanisha Williams, nominated by Touching Hearts at Home of Gainesville, Florida.
- Auroura Conteras Hernandez, nominated by Uresti Senior Assistance of San Antonio, Texas.

The company said each Caregiving Champion award winner will receive a new iPad and an engraved award, which seek to commemorate their contributions to home- and community-based services. In addition, the 10 honorees and their agencies will be recognized via social media throughout the month.
