SUNRISE, Florida—Interim HealthCare Inc., a network of homecare, senior care, home health, hospice and medical staffing services, announced the recipients of its 2024 Therapist and Paraprofessional of the Year awards.
“Interim HealthCare is proud to honor Josh Heuker and Melissa Warner as our 2024 Therapist and Paraprofessional of the Year, respectively,” said Paul Mastrapa, CEO of Interim HealthCare. “Their commitment to their patients and communities is a model for our offices across the nation to follow. Our company’s success and recognition as an industry leader are powered by people like Josh and Melissa, who represent our strength in providing the highest quality of care.”
Heuker, of Lima, Ohio, was awarded Therapist of the Year for his excellence in communication and patient advocacy. Heuker was commended by the company for his determination that inspires patients to reach their goals. Recently, Heuker worked with a patient who had been chairbound for three years, and through his encouragement, the patient is now able to travel short distances with the help of a walker. According to colleagues and patients, this story is one of many regarding Heuker’s exemplary work.
The company awarded Warner, of Greenville, South Carolina, as Paraprofessional of the Year for demonstrating integrity and putting the needs of patients first. Over the course of her time with Interim, Warner has learned new skills and improved her work by attending additional training classes. Additionally, she aims to go above and beyond for her patients, including using previous catering experience to make home-cooked meals for patients.
Interim HealthCare annually honors one physical therapist and one paraprofessional in its organization who exemplify the company’s core values. The company evaluated nominations for both categories from Interim HealthCare locations across the country to determine this year’s winners.
